EXPERIENCE THE WONDERS OF THE CARIBBEAN
WSORC ecotours are for adventurous individuals with a passion for observing the underwater world and a keen interested in helping to preserve it.
Ocean Safaris are a three-four hour boat ride to search for Utila’s unique marine life, with the whale shark being the main attraction. Our local guides take participants to the north east side of the island to search for dolphins, tuna boils, manta rays, and if we are lucky a whale shark! Check out the Ocean Safari section for more details
All ecotour profits go towards funding our research and community outreach programs on Utila. To find out more about our programs, or how you can help, please visit our about page.
Trip frequencies depend on weather conditions and bookings. Due to rapidly changing weather on Utila, we are only able to confirm trips a few days in advance. To check times for the next trip, please drop by our visitor center, or contact us.
Customers need to place a $10 reservation deposit to book a place on our Ocean Safaris, which is returned to the customer after the trip. These must be paid at our office, located in between Utila Dive Lodge and Bay Islands College of Diving.
